 The Napoleonic Wars comprised a series of global conflicts fought during Napoleon Bonaparte's imperial rule over France (1804-1815). They continued the wars sparked by the French Revolution of 1789, and no consensus exists as to when the period of the French Revolutionary Wars ended and that of the Napoleonic Wars began. The Napoleonic Wars ended following Napoleon's final defeat at Waterloo on June 18, 1815 and the Second Treaty of Paris signed on November 20, 1815. |
