The Chinese Calendar series presents a new animal every year. The year 2027 is dedicated to the Year of the Goat.
The Goat is the 8th animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac signs, coming after the Horse and before the Monkey. Recent years of the Goat include 2015, 2003, 1991, 1979, 1967, 1955, and 1943, with the next Goat year in 2027 (Year of the Fire Goat).
The Goat, also known as the Sheep or Ram, is a symbol of gentleness, kindness, and peace in Chinese culture. People born in the year of the Goat are often considered artistic, compassionate, and nurturing. They are believed to have a calm and harmonious nature, fostering supportive environments for those around them. Although Goat people may look gentle on the surface, they usually also possess a strong inner resilience, always insisting on their own opinions in their minds.
On the reverse side, all the animals of the Chinese zodiac are drawn in a cartoon-like way around the Ying and Yang symbol. A complete cycle of the Chinese zodiac will be composed from 2018 to 2029. Each of these twelve years features an animal from this calendar. The face value is visible in the center of the coin as well as the symbol "RF".
