The Federal States II-series each year honors one state by issuing a €2 commemorative coin featuring a prominent landmark. In 2026, Klimahaus Bremerhaven (Climate House Bremerhaven) represents the state of Bremen.

The Klimahaus Bremerhaven is a scientific exhibition and experience center in Bremerhaven, which opened in 2009. It vividly illustrates the connections between weather, climate, and human life. The main exhibition takes visitors along the 8th meridian east through various countries and climate zones, including Switzerland, Italy, Niger, Cameroon, Antarctica, and Samoa. Authentic landscapes and living conditions are presented, complemented by original research reports and interactive exhibits. A central theme is global climate change, whose causes, consequences, and potential solutions are explained in a scientifically sound manner. The Klimahaus works closely with researchers and educational institutions and is part of the German Climate Foundation. It is considered a leading center for environmental education and has received numerous awards for its educational concept.

The obverse depicts the futuristic architectural ensemble of Klimahaus Bremerhaven, including a glass bridge, elliptical exhibition building, and tower with a dynamic perspective. Architecture and maritime elements such as seagulls and the suggestion of the harbor illustrate Bremen's role as a scientific center by the sea.

The series began in 2023 and a new coin will be minted each year, in order of the rotating presidency of the Bundesrat (the upper house of the German parliament).
