This issue is dedicated to the centenary of the beginning of Radio Zagreb’s broadcasting.
The first programme was heard on 15 May 1926 at 8:30 p.m. on a wavelength of 350 metres on medium wave, marking the beginning of the story of Croatian Radiotelevision, the legal successor of Radio Zagreb and today the central national media institution in the Republic of Croatia.
The obverse shows a depiction of radio waves in five rows – a recognizable and symbolic motif recalling the first radio signals and the beginning of the century-long journey from radio to television.
The reverse is the standard 2 euro design featuring a map of Europe and the denomination. |
