Dated 2025, the coin serves as a poignant tribute to the events of 8 May 1945 80 years on.
Victory in Europe Day is the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945; it marked the official surrender of all German military operations.
The reverse features a remastered version of John Mills’ ‘dove of peace’ design, which has been updated to include the words ‘IN PEACE GOODWILL’ as written by Winston Churchill.
