This release celebrates the incredible legacy of one of the United Kingdom’s most formidable warships, and is a fitting tribute to all those that served on HMS Belfast during its active duty.
The reverse features bespoke artwork depicting the historic vessel, with the ship’s motto appearing in Latin as the coin’s poignant edge inscription (PRO · TANTO · QVID · RETRIBVAMVS), developed with the assistance of Imperial War Museums (IWM).
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III.
