A woman of action: Elly Heuss-Knapp wrote women's history in the best sense of the word.

Elisabeth Eleonore Anna Justine Heuss-Knapp (1881-1952) was a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), social reformer, author and wife of German president Theodor Heuss. She was the founder of the Müttergenesungswerk charitable organisation, officially called Elly Heuss-Knapp Foundation in her honor.

The obverse shows a portrait of Elly Heuss-Knapp in three-quarter profile. It is complemented by the logo of the Mothers' Convalescence Organisation and the anniversary number “75”. The typography is skilfully based on fonts from the founding period of the Müttergenesungswerk.

The reverse has the German eagle, the words “BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND”, the value and denomination, the letter “F” for the Stuttgart Mint, the year 2025, and the twelve stars of Europe.
