2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the famous gang of friends called Peanuts.

The history of Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts comic strip began in 1950, evolving from his earlier work, "Li'l Folks," to become one of the most beloved and influential comics of all time.

Schulz drew every strip himself for nearly 50 years, infusing the world of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang with universal themes of hope, despair, and friendship.

The obverse features Snoopy hugging a heart. Behind him we can see iconic elements from the comic strip: Woodstock in a hot-air balloon, Snoopy's doghouse, and his aviator helmet and goggles in the grass.

The reverse of this coin shows the denomination surrounded by two branches, one of oak and the other of laurel, evoking the Euro symbol. The entire motif on the reverse is framed by ‘République Française’ and a series of lines representing the Hexagon.
