Croatia adopted the Euro as legal tender as of January 1, 2023, thus becoming the 20th member of the euro zone.
The issue is dedicated to the maritime heritage of the island of Vis and the tradition of the falkuša – a legendary fishing boat.
The obverse features a detailed depiction of two boats that always sailed in a group, with a competitive spirit, while the reverse shows the Kaštel in Komiža and the remaining three preserved examples of the falkuša gajetas.
