Croatia adopted the Euro as legal tender as of January 1, 2023, thus becoming the 20th member of the euro zone.
The packaging of the set features the city known as the “City of Four Rivers” – Karlovac.
With a layout in the shape of a perfect six-pointed star, it is an ideal example of renaissance fortification architecture. Karlovac is famous for its numerous river beaches, parks, and most notably, Dubovac Castle – a fortress dating back to the 13th century, which was transformed into a true renaissance castle with gothic elements during the reign of the Frankopan family.
The set contains all eight standard Croatian euro coins displayed in an attractive blister pack.
