All Special Uncirculated quality coins are designed to meet the most exacting standards. As a ‘first strike’ – an early strike in a series struck from a new die – immediately after minting, each coin is quality checked and packed with care to ensure that every single one is an unblemished masterpiece.
This blister pack features information in both German and English.
The cover of the set is dedicated to the work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who's impact is among the most important contributions in the history of post-war modern art. He developed his unique visual language as an important member of the international avant-garde in Paris in the 1950s.
Hundertwasser's groundbreaking ecological commitment and his dedication to a more human architecture in harmony with nature developed from his belief in the power of nature and individual creativity. He disseminated his criticisms of civilisation and his ecological views in manifestos, writings and action in which he disapproved of the pure functionality of all areas of life, the unrestrained doctrine of growth and adaptation to social conformism. Hundertwasser's trump card was the beauty of his art and its message of natural harmony,
peace and joy.
