This release is dedicated to the Lithuanian tradition of straw gardens, which is on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Straw gardens are geometric ornaments made from natural fiber straws that are threaded into triangles and squares to decorate Lithuanian homes. The tradition of making straw gardens is still cherished today, and the UNESCO inscription is an important step in preserving it.

The straw garden represents the connection between the earthly and spiritual worlds, and is associated with harmony, life cycles, and spirituality.

The obverse shows a stylized straw garden made of geometric figures, with some points facing up and others facing down. The 12 EU stars in a circle represent Lithuania's place in Europe, and the inscription "LIETUVA" is at the top.

The reverse features the typical geographical image of Europe.
