Over the course of three years, the emblematic Sower series honors the myths and legends that have shaped the history of Gold. The series started with King Midas in 2023 and follows this up aptly with the myth of Jason and the Golden Fleece for 2024.

The story of Jason and the Golden Fleece is an ancient Greek myth about a hero's quest, betrayal, and vengeance. The fleece is a symbol of authority and kingship.

Jason, an exiled Greek hero, is offered the chance to reclaim the throne then usurped by his uncle if he brings back the Golden Fleece, a magical ram's skin. With the help of his Argonaut companions and the sorceress Medea, he overcame many trials and succeeded in getting his hands on the legendary Golden Fleece, which was guarded by a dragon.

The reverse is common to the series and features a modernized adaptation of the Sower by engraver Louis-Oscar Roty, with a heraldic version of the French flag appearing on the drape of her dress. The wording ‘RF’ (Republique Francaise) is encircled by an interlace of hexagons reminiscent of France..
