The NOS Jeugdjournaal is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Many children have grown up with the popular program, which brings them both national and world news in an accessible manner.
The design was inspired by the distortions and imperfections that sometimes occur in a television picture: glitches. King Willem-Alexander is portrayed on the obverse. The portrait is depicted in two tones, giving the impression that it glitches. This gives it an electric character. The reverse shows a globe, the symbol of the daily world news. The same glitch effect is applied to this image, making the coin as a whole reminiscent of a television screen. |
