This is the seventh release in the Presidents of Finland series, and pays tribute to J.K.Paasikivi, Finland's seventh president holding office between 1946-1956.

Representing the Finnish Party and the National Coalition Party, Juho Kusti Paasikivi (1870–1956) also served as Prime Minister of Finland, and was an influential figure in Finnish economics and politics for over fifty years. He is remembered as a main architect of Finland's foreign policy after the Second World War.

The obverse bears the portrait of J.K. Paasikivi. The reverse - common to the entire eight-coin series - features a landscape of Finnish fields, framing an open book depicting a constructed urban environment.

A total of eight collector coins will be released in the series, with the coins of K.J. Ståhlberg, L.K. Relander, P.E. Svinhufvud and Kyösti Kallio launched in 2016 and the coins for Risto Ryti, C.G.E. Mannerheim, J.K. Paasikivi and U.K. Kekkonen released in 2017.
