This is the third release in the Presidents of Finland series, and pays tribute to Kyösti Kallio, Finland's fourth president.

Kyösti Kallio (1873–1940) was the fourth president of the Republic of Finland, holding office in 1937-1940.

The obverse bears the portrait of Kyösti Kallio. The reverse - common to the entire eight-coin series - features a landscape of Finnish fields, framing an open book depicting a constructed urban environment.

A total of eight collector coins will be released in the series, with the coins of K.J. Ståhlberg, L.K. Relander, P.E. Svinhufvud and Kyösti Kallio to be launched in 2016. The coins of Risto Ryti, C.G.E. Mannerheim, J.K. Paasikivi and U.K. Kekkonen are planned for release in 2017.
