This is the second official mint set issued by Latvia. It features all eight of the new euro coins as well as the commemorative 2 euro "EU Presidency".

The design of Latvian euro coins features three separate designs. The designs featured are the Latvian maiden, which is found on the 1 and 2 euro coins, the greater Coat of arms of Latvia on the 10, 20 and 50-cent coins, and the lesser Coat of arms of Latvia on the 1, 2 and 5-cent coins.
