This is the fifth issue in the bi-metallic series featuring buildings from all nine historical provinces of Finland, namely Åland, Tavastia, Karelia, Lapland, Ostrobothnia, Satakunta, Savo, Uusimaa and Finland Proper.

Located at Sammallahtimäki in Rauma, on a site which once formed the coastline, lie nearly forty burial cairns built as the resting place for the ancestors of the inhabitants of Satakunta. In 1999, the site was nominated to UNESCO’s World Heritage List, as it the most representative site of the Western Bronze Culture in Scandinavia. A number of the burial cairns have their own names and stories. The best-known burial cairn, Kirkonlaattia (“Church Floor”), is said to have been built by goblins, no less. The reverse features the historical province´s coat of arms and the face value, 5 EURO.
