2010 marks the 150th anniversary of the statute on Finnish currency. This event is commemorated with the special Finnish coin of the year.The national obverse side of the 2010 €2 special coin features the stylized Finnish lion emblem. The reverse side of the special coin is the same as that of ordinary circulation coins. The special euro coins are legal tender in all countries using the euro.
The 2010 €2 special coin will be the first euro coin to have the Mint of Finland's new lion emblem. The previous emblem, the Horn of Plenty, will be replaced with the Finnish lion emblem. |
