RSM DOMESTIC (US) RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY
This section details the General Returns & Exchange Policy for domestic customers. Because we want to make your shopping experience as easy and safe as possible, please contact us at scandmint@comcast.net with any additional questions or concerns you may have.

Returns
You may return items within
30 days of delivery for a refund. In certain circumstances Royal
Scandinavian Mint reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee
(see below). Items should be returned in their original and unopened
product packaging. RSM will also pay the return shipping costs if the
return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or
defective item, etc.).

Please be advised that you are responsible for the returned shipment until it is received by RSM. We advise to have returns shipped by Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation.

Restocking Fees
In certain
circumstances Royal Scandinavian Mint reserves the right to charge a
15% restocking fee for products returned without defect. The
restocking fee does not apply to items that are exchanged for similar
items.
The purpose of the restocking fee is to keep the number of costly returns of items that are not defective down, which inevitably leads to lower prices for the consumer. There are a lot of costs associated with processing an order - especially a return - and without restocking fees we simply cannot offer competitive prices. If you buy something and then return it, RSM has to deal with more costs to handle the return. In most cases RSM is also stuck with a product that cannot be sold as new any more because of opened packaging, fingerprints etc. In most cases, we cannot return these items to the manufacturers. Restocking fees are only charged in cases where you return an item due to your making a bad buying decision (we assume that you don't expect other customers to pay for your mistake).

Refunds
Refunds
are requested after we receive and process your return. Once the
return has been processed, you will receive a refund to the original
payment method. For orders paid by personal check or money order, the
refund is issued as store credit to the customer who placed the
original order, unless otherwise requested.
You should expect to receive your refund within 2-4 weeks of returning your package, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for RSM to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
Items that are returned more than 30 days after delivery can receive a partial refund in the following circumstances:
Some items that are returned more than 30 days after delivery
Any item that is opened or has obvious signs of use
Any item subject to the 15% restocking fee
Any item not returned in the condition it was received

Exchanges
If
you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item,
please
call customer service toll-free at 1-877-552-6468 or email us at
scandmint@comcast.net
to request a replacement. Please note that it takes us 5 to 7
business days to process returns once they arrive in our office.
Please be advised that you are responsible for the exchanged shipment until it is received by RSM. We advise to have exchanges shipped by Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation.
