eurostar issues

The pan-European eurostar mint mark program was launched in 2004 as a voluntary cooperation between selected European mints. Each year, the mints involved issue coins with a common theme and mint mark - the eurostar, a stylized combination of the euro symbol and a star from the EU flag - with coins in different qualities and sometimes even alloys, but all conforming to the European motto: "Unity in Diversity". In 2004, the theme was the Enlargement of the European Union, in 2005 it was Peace & Freedom (60 Years Since the End of WWII) , in 2006 European Personalities, and in 2007 European Achievements.
