This is the second official mint set issued by Mint Kremnica (Slovakian Mint) in 2011. It features all eight of the standard euro coins and a mint medal celebrating the historical regions of Ponitrie and Trnavsko.

The €1 and €2 coins depict a double cross on three hills, as featured in the national emblem of Slovakia. The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins show Bratislava castle and the national emblem of Slovakia. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins feature Kriváň, the peak of the Tatra Mountains, a symbol of the sovereignty of the Slovak nation, as well as the national emblem of Slovakia.
