When Latvians get together at a party and - as a rule - start singing, Aleksandrs Čaks' poem "Confession" never leaves the core repertoire. Like the vast majority of the world's songs it is about love, and the first line reads: "Fog mists the pane. Why go on and deny..." Many of Čaks's poems are very musical, where the melody seems to be implied in the verse and many have even been called "song" or "ballad".

The obverse of the coin features a partially misted-up window, kissing lips and falling leaves, as well as the inscription MIGLĀ ASARO (FOG MISTS). The reverse features cobble-stone paving with the inscriptions ALEKSANDRS, ČAKS, and 1901–1950. In the lower left corner is an outline of a leaf containing a set of lips.
