Issued on March 18, this is the ninth coin in the series featuring ships as its common theme, and is dedicated to the container ship, Emma Maersk.

When she was launched in 2006, Emma Mærsk was the largest and longest container vessel ever built. Emma Mærsk maintains a regular service between the Far East and Europe through the Suez Canal.

The reverse depicts the Emma Maersk. The obverse design features a new portrait of the Queen by sculptor Lis Nogel.
