This issue celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome.

The coin's obverse is a map of Europe with the area of the 6 countries which initially signed the treaty more heavily frosted than the others. This side also bears the denomination, the eurostar mint mark and the text "50th Anniversary Europa - Treaty of Rome". The reverse features the portrait of King Juan Carlos I and the year of issue, 2007.
